I love this quote:

You drown not by falling into the river, but by staying submerged in it.

As a university career director, nonprofit career coach, résumé writer, & middle school/high school teacher, I am passionate about helping those who are just trying to climb out of that river.

My work is led by these key drivers; I BELIEVE:

  • That sometimes it is the people who no one imagines anything of who do the things that no one can imagine.
  • That a job is what we do to EARN a living, a career is what we do to MAKE a living, and a vocation is where our deepest gladness & the world’s deepest hunger, intersect
  • In intentionally creating room for “serendipity moments” to abound.

At 22 yrs old, I walked in to a classroom of high school seniors. As a brand new teacher, it was baptism by fire. I was lucky enough to have a mentor who journeyed with my through those first couple of rough months. Now at 50 yrs old, I hope to be that coach for others.

Nervous about your first day? Starting to have some self-doubt? Don’t feel like you are “enough”? Worried about classroom management? Not sure how to create your first syllabus?

I’m here to walk those first few steps with you.
